Just what I needed. Aug 29, 2010 I have a pair of the regular foot long OXO tongs but I wanted something to use on my nonstick cookware. I got these 9-inch ones nylon ones. Af first I thought maybe they were too small but then I realize that they give me better control and in my non-stick cook ware it's not like I am dealing with anything too deep anyway. They give good control for flipping stir fry and moving foods around like sausage. Not too shabby at doing scrambled eggs either.
none better Jul 06, 2010 Oxo is committed to making "accessible" products; easy to use, friendly to the hand, well-designed and sturdy. This is the only pair of tongs I now own, having pitched all others out.
Locking mechanism is backwards Jun 29, 2010 These tongs seem to have the locking mechanism backwards. Most tongs you push in to unlock, these you pull out. I've messed up every time I've used them. Nevertheless, they work as described. These are nylon tongs not silicone so you can't use over high heat or the grill. The edges will melt a little. They're the perfect length, easy to get spaghetti out of the pot, scramble eggs, flip vegetables, etc. I would recommend.
useful nylon heads for scrambling eggs in my Calphalon nonstick pan May 22, 2010 These are very useful because of the soft heads. I consider these a kitchen must-have. I haven't tried the silicone version so I don't know if an upgrade is called for.
Use for everything Apr 14, 2010 I use this all the time! Only improvement would be to reverse the locking mechanism. Pull out to unlock (that is my preference).
