 Diamond sharpening stone Feb 27, 2010
Economical diamond sharpening stone works as expected to produce well honed knife edges. I like the coarse and fine sides that allow shaping and razor edge sharpening with the same "stone". This replaces several sharping stones that take too much time, patience and skill to get sharp edges.

This tool works well. It is very thin but a nice size ... otherwise. Great to keep in the kitchen.

I bought this item to speed up the initial clean-up on some antique chisels. At this price I wasn't expecting the best and got about what I expected. The plastic liner the two plates are glued to has a little too much flex and the glue gave way about a week into use. This proved to be a blessing in disguise as I made a handled backer for each and continue to use them. Diamond stones cut very fast and, although they leave a more significant scratch pattern, reduce the amount of time needed for removing pitting, burrs and the like. If you're planning on a diamond stone for final clean-up I'd spend a little more and get a finer grade, but given the above I'd say these have been worth it.

This is a fabulous product for slot car racers and I presume any hobbyist or people working with small items...
